My Passion

I am very passionate about creative lighting design, and what attracts me most, is the overwhelming effect it can have on a performance. Lighting can be used as a narrative, to portray settings or emotions through the use of colour in theatre or an enhancement, such as the attractive lighting displays that now accompany many of today's famous recording artists. In either case, lighting holds the most impact and it amazes me how much a performance can be changed simply by alternative illumination.

My Work

I've wanted to follow a Lighting Design career from a very young age, so I've built up experience with local theatres, contributed to school productions and events, shadowed industry leading LD's and hold a freelancing job with a local events company. I've attended three backstage open days at the Stables, Milton Keynes and Wycombe Swan theatres, all of which were indispensable in terms of experience. As you can see from the examples on this website, I am extremely passionate about anything that I'm prepared to put my name on, and continually strive for high standards.

My Goal

I want to be the guy that illuminates the London Eye at new years eve. I want to tour around the globe with big name artists and concert gigs. I want to design original and cutting edge lighting designs for brand new West End and Broadway shows. I also want to program lighting for big TV brands like the BBC, ITV, C4 etc. And I can't remember when I've not wanted this.
